Solution:

Apart from the obvious storage function, the armrest was designed for a variety of features like Tray (with storage of small parts -coins, pen, paper etc), Cupholders, Integrated headrest, Tablet/ IPad holder with complex operating mechanisms for above. Ease of access, user friendly operation were key focus areas as well to ensure rear passenger comfort. Modular approach was adopted while delivering this armrest design to the client which helped in overall product optimization and maintaining feature cost ratio.
Based on the successful execution of this armrest, a higher end version was subsequently designed by AllyGrow team which included features like Glass deco part, USB charge ports, Wireless charger, Perforated Leather Lid etc.
